Classes for certification may be taught by an in-house instructor within their
own fire department if the following requirements are met:
1. All instructors of the class must hold the IFSAC accredited certification for the level
being taught.
2. The class for certification must be coordinated with and approved by the local State Fire Rescue Training
Area Coordinator.
3. The class must be registered with the Accredited Certification office 30 days prior to the first day
of the class. The local State Fire Rescue Training Coordinator will register the class for testing after coordinating
with the Lead Instructor of the class.
4. Attendance rosters for the entire class will provided to the local State Fire Rescue
Training Coordinator to insure all candidates have completed the required number of hours for the class.
